Don't Go Quack! does not collect any data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no server. The app makes no network connections of any kind.
What the app stores
Everything the app remembers stays on your device, in storage private to the app. That includes:
- Your settings: how many daily unlocks you get, and how long each one lasts.
- How many unlocks you have left today, and your current streak.
- Which apps you chose to block.
None of this is transmitted anywhere, because the app has no ability to transmit anything. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Screen Time and blocked apps
App blocking uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls). When you choose which apps to block, Apple hands the app opaque tokens rather than app names. The developer cannot see which apps you selected, cannot see how you use them, and cannot see anything about your device activity. That information never leaves your device and is not visible to us even in principle.
The app uses this permission to restrict your own device at your own request. It is not a parental control product, and it does not manage, monitor, or report on anyone else's device.
Tips and purchases
The app has an optional tip jar. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your name, email, or payment details, only anonymous aggregate sales figures from Apple. Tips unlock nothing; every feature is free whether or not you tip. Apple's handling of purchase data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules them locally on your device to warn you shortly before a blocked app locks again. There is no push server and no notification data leaves your device.
Third parties
There are none. The app contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics libraries, no crash reporters, and no advertising frameworks.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date below.
